Johnny Nitro became Intercontinental champion first time by defeating Shelton Benjamin at Vengeance on June 26, 2006 but after 99 days lost title to Jeff Hardy in October 2, 2006 Raw event, however became second time Intercontinental Champion in November 6, 2006 Raw edition by defeating same superstar but after 7 days lost title to Jeff Hardy at November 13, 2006 Raw event
He mesmerized entire wrestling world with his risky performance by facing Miz in a falls count anywhere match, destroyed Alex Riley during that match but unable to win the WWE Championship match unfortunately at January 3 Monday night entertaining program. He defeated King Sheamus in January 10 Raw event.
