Biography

Wladimir Klitschko was born March 25, 1976 in Semipalatinsk (Kazakhstan). Father - Vladimir Rodionovich - Colonel Aviation. Mother - Hope Ulyanovna - attendant. Together with his parents and brother Vitali Vladimir traveled much of the Soviet Union. In 1985 they moved to Ukraine.

Children's classes different types of martial arts gradually developed into a serious passion for boxing. In the seventeen years he became the champion of Europe among juniors, . a five time champion of Ukraine in boxing, . Alexander Povetkin Profile And Pictures

After a successful amateur kickboxing career that included winning World Junior championship in 1997, World title in 1999 and a European professional kickboxing title in 2000, Povetkin won his first major boxing tournament at the Russian Championships in 2000 at the age of 21.

His amateur success would culminate in winning the gold medal at super-heavyweight (91 kg) boxing at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. After taking Olympic Gold, he concluded his amateur career with a record of 125-7, with all losses avenged.

After winning the gold medal, Povetkin took a year off before making the decision to turn pro. After meeting with several fight promoters, Povetkin signed a contract to fight for Sauerland Events. Unlike other promoters, Sauerland would allow Povetkin to train mainly in his native Russia, and fight primarily out of Germany.

On March 3, 2007 Povetkin scored a TKO over an experienced American, David Bostice. Three months later Alex fought Larry Donald, an experienced American contender who was considered, by many, to be a very good test for Povetkin. The Russian cruised to an easy unanimous decision win.

On October 27, 2007 Povetkin met former title holder Chris Byrd, who had lost his title to Klitschko the year before. Povetkin won the fight by way of an 11th round TKO victory. Byrd put up more resistance than Donald, but ultimately, was overwhelmed and his corner threw in the towel.

On January 26, 2008, after initial problems, Povetkin defeated Chambers by unanimous decision to become the mandatory challenger for Klitschko. However, Povetkin withdrew from the fight against Klitschko due to an injury

David Deron Haye, from London, England, is the current WBA World Heavyweight Champion.

Haye started his ambition and passion for boxing at old-school boxing gym Fitzroy Lodge Boxing Club, where he quickly impressed and confidently won his first amateur bouts.

At the 2001 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Belfast, Northern Ireland he fought in the heavyweight 201 lb division where he beat world class Sebastian Köber to reach the final where he gave Cuban Odlanier Solís a standing eight before getting stopped by TKO (round 3) and taking the silver medal.

Professional career
Based in Bermondsey, London, England, Haye turned professional in December 2002. Haye KO's his first 10 opponents before dispatching ex-World cruiserweight champion "King" Arthur Williams in five rounds.

In 2004, Haye met 40-year-old ex-WBO champion Carl Thompson for the IBO Cruiserweight Championship. In the fifth round, Thompson started to throw punches as he just tried to defend himself. With 7 seconds left in the round, Thompson landed two jabs followed by a straight right that knocked Haye out.

Despite losing his first title shot, Haye racked-up several wins before fighting Jean-Marc Mormeck for the WBA and WBC Cruiserweight Championships in November 2007. Haye defeated Mormeck with a TKO in the 7th round, despite being knocked down by Mormeck in the 4th. The victory confirmed Haye's arrival as a genuine world class fighter because Mormeck was ranked number one by The Ring magazine.

Before joining the Heavyweight division, Haye became the lineal cruiserweight champion as he held the WBA, WBC, WBO and The Ring Magazine after defeating then WBO Champion Enzo Maccarinelli in March 2008.

Haye has described the victory over Maccarinelli as "the final piece" in his cruiserweight jigsaw. Haye then moved to heavyweight and fought journeyman/contender Monte "Two Gunz" Barrett at The O2 Arena in London on 15 November 2008, winning via TKO in the fifth round. A year later, Haye met WBA champion Nikolay Valuev and, in a reserved display of accuracy and efficiency, defeated him via a majority decision to win a share of the heavyweight title.

In April 2010, Haye defeated former heavyweight belt-holder John Ruiz in his first WBA title defense via ninth round TKO after knocking him down four times during the fight.

After the fight, Haye immediately called on both Klitschko brothers, after claiming their recent challengers Eddie Chambers and Chris Arreola were "a disgrace to boxing."

On 13 November 2010, Haye defeated an overmatched Harrison via third round by TKO. Southpaw Harrison landed one jab during the entire fight. He staggered to his feet after being knocked down, only for Haye to immediately pounce right back on him, hitting him with another flurry of punches. The referee intervened and ended the bout.

Vitali Klitschko Profile And Pictures

Vitali Klitschko, the current WBC heavyweight champion is the older brother of IBF and WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. Vitali formerly held the WBO, WBC and Ring heavyweight titles before retiring in 2005 after suffering knee, thigh and back injuries which caused cancellations of multiple fights.

Vitali Klitschko won the vacant WBC and Ring heavyweight titles beating Corrie Sanders by 8th round TKO on Saturday, April 24, 2004 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The referee stopped the bout at 2:46 to spar Sanders further injury as Sanders fighting on heart refused to go down despite getting hit with big lefts and rights from Klitschko.

On December 20, 2005 Vitali Klitschko was declared the Champion Emeritus by the WBC which allowed him to become the WBC mandatory challenger if chose to come out of retirement. The reasoning was that Klitschko never lost his title in the ring. This honorary status allowed Vitali to fight Samuel Peter for the WBC heavyweight title on October 11, 2008 despite having not fought since December 11, 2004.

Klitschko beat Samuel Peter (30-2-0, 23 KOs) by 8th round TKO on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the O2 World Arena in Berlin, Germany. After being repeatidly hit in the face and head by Vitali's long left jabs and left right combinations Peter retired on his stool. Vitali Klitschko reclaimed his WBC heavyweight title and fulfilled his dream to hold a heavyweight title at the same time as his younger brother Wladimir.
