Biography:
Franck Ribery started his playing career at his home town club and moved to Alès, before Brest and Metz signed him in consecutive seasons. His loan to Galatasaray marked the inevitable move to another club at the end of the 2004-05 season, and with the move to Olympique Marseille he looks to have finally settled into a team. His stellar play with the OM has earned him top French player honors for the months of August, October and November 2005. In the months leading to the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany, Ribéry looks to be rewarded with a spot in the national team, a scenario entirely possible due to his amazing performances lately. His ability to accelarate past defenders, to make hard and accurate passes to teammates in front of goal, and to have incredible attacking talent granted him a place in France's team for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
