Biography
Martin Kaymer, born in Düsseldorf in 1984,vaulted himself to the top enchelons of golf in record time. He is the youngest German winner of a European golf tournament. After finishing second in the Dubai Desert Classic in 2008, Kaymer moved up to 21st place in the world rankings and was named European Tour Golfer of the Month for January 2008.
In June 2008, Kaymer was the first German and the youngest professional to win the BMW International Open. In 2009, Martin Kaymer was successful in two tournaments. He won the French Open as well as the Scottish Open. Also 2010 started auspiciously for the German. He could already celebrate the victory of the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship. As appraisal for an extraordinary shot at the latter tournament, he also won the award “European Tour Shot of the Month” for January.
