Barca Optimistic Can Catch Madrid

The defeat of Getafe makes farther behind Barcelona from Real Madrid in the standings. However, because the season is long, stronghold Azulgrana still believes it can pursue eternal rival.

Barca just felt defeat in all competitions in the inaugural season. Come to the headquarters Getafe on Sunday (27/11/2011) pm dawn, Pep Guardiola's squad defeated 0-1.

This defeat did not disturb the position of Barca in second Spanish League standings. But, they are now six points adrift of Real Madrid in power at the top.

"We will not make excuses. We have to give everything and we try to win, but it is not possible," I'm David Villa on the official club website.

"We are lagging far (from Madrid), but still a lot of time. It's not finished," he said.

"We still have games against them we can win. We must do it step by step," said the Spanish international striker.

Similar optimism expressed by fellow Villa, Gerard Pique. Pique also believes his team is still capable of fighting in the race for the title.

"I am confident that the team will memebrikan everything to fight for the title at the end of the season," said Pique.

"There are a lot of games are not played, there are still many points to be had. Madrid is a little better and we should immediately reverse this situation," he added.

"We are Barca and we will move forward," he said.
